Godzilla 2014

The Japanese monster gets a reboot with this new US film.  Gareth Edwards is the director and Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures are making the film.

and  special guest cameo. Akira Takarada from the original 1954 Godzilla. 



No folks this is not related to the shitty 98 movie in any way, despite what some think.  That crap was Tristar's movie.   They lost the rights to use  Godzilla in 2003.  Legendary Pictures now holds the keys.   

Godzilla himself will more resemble the Japanese design. The trailer confirms this with what you can see of him.

The trailer totally got me hooked. Can't wait for it to be released!  

Fan of Edwards' first movie (MONSTERS) but it's not like Legendary has a great track record.  At best, I'm hoping for a movie that is visually cool and decent enough that I don't think my 10-year old niece could have written something better.  But seriously, there is no way the script won't suck with flat characters and horrible dialog.  Legendary just doesn't know how to do anything else.
